Cave guide responsibilities:
The cave guides are responsible for assistance in conducting orientations and equipment checks, determining the size and composition of the group, selecting the route, determining the duration of the caving trip, and guiding the youth group into and out of an appropriate cave.
The guide may change the location of the trip or end the trip at any time they deem necessary.
Youth Group Responsibility:
The youth group is responsible for providing two responsible adults, at least 21 years of age, for every four youth under the age of 14 to accompany them during the trip. If you have 8 youth under 14 the original 2 adults are adequate.
The number of participants shall be between 8 and 15, unless previously approved by YOUCave.
Total number of participants shall be sent to YOUCave at least 3 days before the activity.
The youth group is responsible for providing at least two responsible adults, at least 21 years of age, to accompany the group at all times during the trip.
Youth group leader responsibility:
The safety of the group during the entire trip is the responsibility of the youth group leader, and not of the cave guides.
The youth group leaders are responsible for conducting orientation and equipment checks.
They are to ensure the participants act in a safe and appropriate manner at all times.
They should follow the instructions of the cave guides only if they feel the instructions conform to safe practices.
Disciplining the youth, if necessary, is the responsibility of the youth group leaders, and not of the cave guides.
The youth group leaders must also ensure the trip is led in a manner that conforms to the youth group standards.
They may end the trip at any time they deem necessary.
All waivers and hold harmless agreements must be submitted to Allen Maddox on the day of the caving trip before entering the cave.
Recording:
The client grants permission to YOUCave to have a camera person(s) take pictures and/or record the engagement if he chooses. The client grants permission to YOUCave to use said photographs and/or recording for promotional use in print and/or internet-based media.
